Jestem po odcinku 12 dopiero i muszę stwierdzić, że podobał mi się najbardziej z dotychczasowych (których oglądałam). Wiem, jaki jest finał Daghana, i przyznaję, że złamało mi to lekko serducho. Ale doceniam Turcję za odwagę.

Nadal nie mogę odżałować decyzji o zakończeniu serialu. Ciągną większe kaszany u nich, a takie cudo wyrzucili za burtę.

Pozwolę sobie wkleić tutaj podsumowanie serialu (właściwie bardziej nie serialu, a postaci Daghana), które ktoś umieścił na stronie EAUFC, a ktoś inny wkleił na wiadomym forum

Właściwie ze wszystkim się zgadzam.

Italian writer Primo Levi, the Shoa-survivor, wrote in his autobiographical work "Is this a man" (Italian original: "Se questo è un uomo“) these words: "And so they are talking about some other things as if I were not there.“

After the first episode of "Ölene Kadar“ I wrote (in one forum) about the excellent use of the camera. One of the examples was the scene describing Dağhan’s coming home, after he had been released, the dinner scene. Daghan’s lawyer Selvi accepted the invitation for dinner.
Daghan, his mother, his father, his sister and Selvi are sitting at the table.
The mother and father are sitting facing each other, at the head and the end of the table, Dağhan and sister on the one side, and Selvi opposite to Dağhan on the other side of the table.
Dağhan is quiet. He is sad. He is playing with the fork, reluctantly, indisposed, not interested in what is going on around him, at the table. He does not speak. The others are small talking and smiling. But Dağhan is quiet, speechless. Selvi is watching him, she is looking at him.
First we see only Dağhan and his sister, as a closeup scene.
Then we see the whole family gathering , with the father of the family turning his back to the camera, but close to us. The camera then moves away from us and shows us the entire dining room with them at the table ... in a warm yellowish-brownish tones.
And Dağhan (that is my opinion) thinks to himself: „Somebody is talking just here near me, but I, myself, am not here. I am not here. They are talking as if I were not here.“

After the last episode of „Ölene Kadar“ (which I "experienced" through images and some „knowledge“ of the Turkish language), after Dağhan’s behavior with his son, his family and Selvi I interpreted his behavior throughout the series as follows:
Dağhan is in a special state of mind, he is in an extraordinary state of mind since he got out of prison.
He decides to set off in search of those who have trapped him and because of whom he had been sentenced to life imprisonment, owing to the wholehearted logistical support of the state (judicial and police departments), as well, though he was innocent.
From the moment he starts pursuing his enemies, he acts like being not himself. He does not listen to his parents‘ advice, he easily flies into rage. Mehmet, a friend from his days in prison, becomes his teacher and some kind of a father figure. We learn that Dağhan saved his life.
After Dağhan learns that a small girl‘s perjury has brought him into prison, he gets more enraged and obsessed with the idea of finding his enemies and to punish them. Selvi, a young woman who saves him from prison is a puzzle for him. He gets emotionally attached to her. No wonder, for so long time he had no loving human being, no woman in his life. The previous one, Beril, his youth love, did not trust his being innocent. She didn’t want to visit him in prison, she told him their child was dead.
An enigma for Dağhan is Ender, Beril’s husband. He does not understand the relationship between Selvi and Ender, but hears Ender’s words about the three coffins.
But it is Dağhan whom we see falling down the trees in a frenzy way and making three coffins as if he were crazy. He rushes and hurries very fast from one stressful situation to another. Ender saves his own life telling Dağhan that his son lives. But only for the time being. Then Dağhan’s father Halil is killed. Dağhan is a son raised in a patriarchal family. It is his duty now, yes, it is a matter of the (family) honor to revenge his father’s death and to restore the family honor. He is determined to find and to punish his father’s killer, as well. Then he finds out from Beril that their child, a son, was born alive, but that she does not know where he is now because she gave him away.
What is Dağhan’s state of mind like in that moment? He is confronted with three major traumas in his life: He will punish those ones who are responsible for his being sentenced to life imprisonment, he will revenge his father’s death and he will find his son.
His love affair with Selvi is not a balanced one and it does not correspond with the feelings of a man who was alone for so long time and who is in such a state of consciousness: „Go away!“, „Stay, don’t go away!“, „Who are you?“, „I love you“, „Go away!“, „I do not hope that our story will have a happy ending“ – these statements of his show that he is totally confused, that he does not know what to do, that he is trying to solve all the difficult problems at once. The main point is that it is not Dağhan who controls the whole situation. The deal with the state (read: justice and police departments) seals his destiny: "Either you will help us catch the 'respectable' corrupted entrepreneurs/businessmen or you will be imprisoned again, for a long time, or even, until death. You will see your loved ones only through glass, you will never be able to touch Selvi ..."
Dağhan listens to the words of the prosecutor who assures him of a fair trial and of justice for him in punishing his enemies, in the new world, if he accepts their deal. He is fully aware of the possibility that everything can be repeated. Why trust the state who sentenced him to life imprisonment though he was innocent?
Yet, he agrees to cooperate.
But, does this state (police and justice departments) know anything about Dağhan’s qualifications?! Dağhan has been shown as a synthesis of Albert Einstein and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the following episodes. He, alone, so to speak (Mehmet with his men in black!) against the wicked, dangerous men in his country, against the mighy, powerful „ağalar“ . He reaves cargoes with weapons, he starts killing men in black, as if he were an experienced soldier in the French Foreign Legion, he negotiates with them as an equal in crime.
In such a state of mind the knowledge of Selvi being that little girl who falsely witnessed against him was a piece of cake for Dağhan. Yes, we see him breaking down, we hear his desperate screaming to the heaven but after a small pause he rushes forward, as if everything were alright, as if nothing had happened.
Another blackmail follows. Tekin Zerdan, an honorable businessman (my irony) threatens him: "Either you shall have your son or your sevgili Selvi.“ I.e., I will give you your son (whom I kidnapped), but you will give me your darling Selvi in exchange.
In Dağhan’s tortured state of mind this is a culmination point. He acts like a fly without a head (not only from now on but through the whole series). He brings his son home, to his mother. A ten year child is asleep. All his conversations with this child, his putting him to bed, his playing with him do not seem to be real, it seems as all of these actions of Dağhan‘s were coming from another consciousness.
He says to a child, smiling: „I am Dağhan.“
„I am Ender“, the child answers him. Dağhan is shocked, for a moment, but he adds: „I am glad to meet you.“
But, this was a shock to him, which he didn’t want to show in front of the child. What a shock! The one who took from him his beloved woman, gives his child his own name. The one responsible for his tragedy eleven years ago.
Yet, as if he were drugged, he goes on smiling at the child, he is smiling and laughing at the table – now there are his mother, his sister, Selvi and his son Ender sitting at the table ... and laughing. But is Dağhan there at that table, fully aware of the fact what is going on in his life and with his life?
His scenes with Selvi are too sweet, too false. He is smiling to her, too, but in his subconsciousness there is Zerdan’s blackmail giving him no peace.
On the other side, he is so happy seing his child beside himself that he forgets dangerous players around himself.
His mother’s insisting on proposing to Selvi because they suit each other so well, is another stone on his mind. How can he handle the situation? To have his son and to have his beloved woman only for himself? We see, too, that he is going to propose to her.
When Selvi goes away, i.e. she is being forced to go with Zerdan (she is offended by Dağhan’s not telling her about his "deal" with Zerdan), his world breaks down. Again? Should everything bad start from the beginning?!
Then the denouement and the expected end. Osman ağa is killed, but also his Mehmet usta, his teacher and friend, is killed. Selvi is with Zerdan. Ender is Zerdan’s son. Dağhan finds out that Yılmaz killed his father. Is there any end of all the wicked and horrible things in his life?
Here I can imagine Dağhan’s face from the prison, which reminds me very much of Edvard Munch's painting "The Scream". What is going on in Dağhan’s mind, when he comes with Ender to Zerdan’s villa?
Father Dağhan, son Ender ... son Ender, father Ender ... son Ender, father Zerdan ... son Dağhan, father Halil ...
Dağhan put his father’s ring on his finger.
The ant Dağhan goes to the Hajj. The ant shoots at Ender, then at Zerdan. They fall down.
Just, like being in a dream, Dağhan, with a weapon in his hand, and with Selvi, goes from the „battle field“. As if he were satisfied. As if nothing had happened. As if everything were alright.
But, the ant is being shot down, as well. It falls down in the grass.
The state has once again betrayed the ant Dağhan. It did not protect Dağhan. And it promised him that it would be on his side, it told him that he may hope for justice because that another proposal by the prosecutor was the hope for a better world in which Dağhan would be able to live, if he would cooperate with them.
And Dağhan became a murderer, a killer. For whom? In whose name?
Dying, Dağhan kisses his father’s ring. Does this act of his tell us that he is telling his father that he revenged him? That he restored the family honor?
The ant Dağhan is lying in the grass. Dying.
The young woman’s screams are heard throughout the night. The screams of the little girl.
And Yılmaz watches all of this.
Revenge. Love. Conscience. Justice.

Kurczę, uświadomiłam sobie, że nawet nie skomentowałam finałowego odcinka

Tak szczerze to spodziewałam się takiego finału i każdy inny byłby dla mnie zaskoczeniem... Tego typu serial nie mógł zakończyć się happy endem i dobrze, że się nie zakończył.

Ogólnie odcinek nie był jakiś porywający, ale wiadomo, musieli szybko kończyć, więc i cały odcinek był temu podporządkowany. Niemniej jednak te rodzinne sceny w pierwszej części odcinka trochę mi się dłużyły, choć oczywiście były może potrzebne biorąc pod uwagę co się potem stało z Daghanem.

Uważam, że ten serial na pewno miałby lepszy finałowy odcinek gdyby nie musieli kończyć tak nagle, aczkolwiek finał nie był zły. Była w nim akcja, było trochę romantyzmu, no ale jeżeli porównać odcinek premierowy i finał to niebo a ziemia.

Strasznie mi przykro, że OK nie przyjęło się w Turcji, bo ty był naprawdę fantastycznie zapowiadający się serial i strasznie żałuję, że nie było nam dane zobaczyć w takiej postaci w jakiej scenarzyście sobie zaplanowali...

A co do OK w Polsce to oczywiście nie miałabym nic przeciwko temu, ale biorąc pod uwagę, że serial już obejrzałam to jakoś tak strasznie mi na tym nie zależy.

Mi jeszcze została połowa odcinka finałowego, ale ogólnie nie rozumiem czemu ten serial się nie przyjął i miał tak mało odcinków
