“My World” is a story of strength, perseverance and optimism, enveloped in great emotion. The soap has a backdrop the famous and internationally recognized tourist region of the Algarve, as it unfolds in its fantastic beaches, golf courses and in the region´s typical fisherman villas.

This is the story of Rita Batalha, a strong personality and daughter of humble Portuguese emigrants in France. Misfortune comes her way on the day of her 22nd anniversary, when after a joyous party, her parents see themselves involved in a serious car accident, that proves to be fatal. Alone, Rita decides to return to her origins, the Algarve, and meet what is left of her family, namely an aunt that she doesn´t know and this way, start a new life.

On her arrival, still at the airport, she sees herself involved in a fantastic story, where between pursuits and misunderstandings, she ends up coming across João Sampaio, a young man who saves her. From that moment, the lives of Rita and João, will be connected forever. A strong attraction is felt between them from that very first instant. However, João has his wedding already scheduled with Sofia, a young, rich and ambitious woman, who will turn out to be quite dangerous also.

Rita is restarting her life, in a new country and in a new culture and occasionally against everything and everyone. Her irreverence and energy will also make her meet new friens, spreading her joy to them, allowing her to live numerous adventures with all of them, leaving no one indifferent and doing all to help those that sorround her.

"My world" is a hymn to struggle in the face of adversity, not crossing ones arms, looking straight at it, and above all never giving up on conquering dreams and happiness. It is also homeage to the memory of loved ones, which remind us that we must fully live every moment of our lives, because it´s so fragile that it may disappear in a minute.
