Opis:
Tony is declared the universal heir to the Stockdale fortune, causing the wrath of his sister Camille and that of his brother in law Clark but particularly his half brother Max Houser who is greedy and has always hated him. In-order to eliminate Tony, Max plots against him. He plans to pass himself off as Tony and marry Rachel, then kill the real Tony and steal the fortune from the widow.
After the wedding, Max excuses himself and goes to Acapulco where he carries out the second part of his plan which is to eliminate Tony. He does this by tampering with the engine of the plane that his half brother will use on a business trip. The accident takes place. The police declare all passengers missing. Max reveals to his mother that Tony married Rachel secretly in San Francisco . They force Rachel to travel to Acapulco where she finds out the truth and refuses to back Max, but is forced to do so after being threatened.
Meanwhile, Max travels to San Francisco and puts pressure on Rachel 's father Peter to become his accomplice, at this time he wins the trust of Marnie,- Rachel's sister. Marnie greedily desires the Stockdale fortune and is always at Max's beck and call.
At the same time, a peasant from the Sierra Of Guerrero finds Tony who is suffering amnesia. Victoria is stricken by the news and has him taken back to Acapulco. Upon his return, Tony finds out about his supposed marriage, but noticing something strange in Max and in Rachel's attitude, he decides to go along with the farce until he finds out the truth.
Little by little, Tony falls in love with Rachel who due to the pressure put on her ends up revealing everything to him. Tony fears a scandal in the family and decides to keep quiet. A terrible rivalry grows between the two brothers not only because of the money but because of the love they feel for Rachel. She has fallen in love with Tony and Max decides to eliminate Tony again. The story culminates with Max dying and leaving Tony and Rachel free to find happiness with each other.
